Red Mangroves Rhizophora mangle, the red mangrove, is distributed in estuarine ecosystems throughout the tropics. Its viviparous "seeds", in actuality called propagules, become fully mature plants before dropping off the parent tree. These are dispersed by water until eventually embedding in the shallows. These are very effective acting as filters in fresh, brackish, or saltwater aquariums.

| Product Care Instructions | Keep aquarium water at 72-78°F, with a pH of 8.1-8.4, and dKH of 8-12. Red Mangroves can grow substantial root systems and become very tall. Choose a large aquarium or pot to prevent stress from frequent replanting. Trim the plant's growth tip to prevent excessive height and avoid aquariums with tops or canopies. Regularly add trace elements and an iron supplement. Mist Mangroves with purified water or wipe excess salt from the leaves with water daily. |
